valley forge pet photography | snowy, woodbridge place

Recently, I worked with Woodbine Senior Living to photograph a new resident at their Phoenixville community, Woodbridge Place… Snowy (aka: Snowflake)! Snowy was adopted from La Mancha Animal Rescue (yay for rescue dogs!). We wanted to feature what a great new addition Snowy is for both the residents and employees of the community. Pet therapy is becoming much more widely used and acknowledged… such tremendous benefits can come from dogs. There are programs for therapy dogs to visit hospitals to help patients and to visit libraries to help children become more comfortable when reading aloud.

Snowy is a resident companion dog. She has a primary caretaker, so she lives with one of the residents, but the joy that she spreads is not limited to the one lucky man that gets to take care of her. Everyone’s face lit up when they saw Snowy in the halls, from the other residents to the employees. She visited groups of friends playing cards. She stopped to greet people in the lobby. She cheerfully accepted pets from all that approached her. It was incredible to see how much happiness this dog brings.

You can see more photos of Snowy and keep up on her adventure on Woodbridge Place’s Facebook page at: https://www.facebook.com/WoodbridgePlaceSeniorLiving .
