{sneak peek} denise + travis

Thanks to the perpetually rainy Sundays that we’ve had this summer… Denise + Travis’ engagement session had to be rescheduled. Twice. By that time, we decided to try our luck on a weekday. Success! And I was thrilled that they brought along their (much more well-behaved that mine) Boston Terrier, Stella.

I’m sure that I have the most beautiful brides ever. They make my job pretty easy…

*LOVE  LOVE  LOVE*

{planning love} shoes. really cute shoes.

People always ask what they should wear for their session. You can’t go wrong with cute shoes. How perfect would these be for an engagement session?? Or even under a wedding dress?

L.O.V.E.

And a girl that wears red shoes with her wedding dress is my kinda girl…

{sneak peek} adrienne + josh

It started pouring on Sunday afternoon. Downpour. The kind that hits out of the blue and makes you run for cover. With Adrienne + Josh’s engagement session just hours away, I was not so happy with Mother Nature. But after an hour or so the rain slowed, and weather.com forecasted that the storms would pass. Perfect. Until about 1/2hr into our session, as we were trekking around Center City… RAIN!!! But we didn’t let that stop us. And though we sought cover in some stanky alleyways and under business awnings… Adrienne + Josh were totally cool and did not complain once about hiking around the city in the rain. And that’s why I love them.

How incredible is this ring? They designed it, so you’ll notice their initials on the side…

Love. Just love.

{sneak peek} jen + rich :: philadelphia wedding photographer

Last weekend Jen + Rich got married on a day that could not have been more perfect. It was hot, no doubt about that, but we were able to retreat into their reception at the Phoenixville Foundry to cool off in between taking photos. The Foundry is one of the hottest, new venues. Not only is it an incredible building, but it’s location in downtown Phoenixville is perfect… there are innumerable fantastic spots for photos. But let’s start with a photo from the ceremony… Pretty excited to be married, don’t you think?

As we were walking around Phoenixville, this old house caught my eye… I love the iron fence and the classic look to the house. Granted, it’s not in the best condition. But it has character. As I had them stand in front of it, a random guy walked by and made some snarky comments about taking wedding photos in front of an ugly, run-down, old house. His words, not mine. Jen quickly responded with, “beauty is in the eye of the beholder.” That’s my girl. :) Take this, snarky dude… I’m pretty happy with how this turned out…

Love a fun bridal party… Particularly one that can get some AIR!!!

A little cake… before and after action…

A huge thank you to Ashley Bartoletti for joining me for the day… some of the fabulous shots that you’ll see from this wedding are hers!

{sneak peek} jen + sam

Last weekend, the husband and I made a trip to Maryland for Jen + Sam’s engagement session on a horse farm. Pretty much an ideal location. Their session included their horse, Troy, AND their two Jack Russell Terriers, Shiloh and Rocco. It got a little crazy with three animals, but it was a good time and I’m so looking forward to their wedding in September!

Jen… you are GORGEOUS!!
