Yesterday I got to meet up with Ashley and Nate to take some engagement photos. They just got engaged on Christmas! {Congratulations you two!} They’re adorable together and have so many exciting things going on right now… the engagement, a college graduation, a move to Virginia, a new job, and a birthday on Tuesday. {Happy Birthday Nate!} Wow.

The weather was less than cooperative but we braved the ickyness and ventured outside. Poor Ashley was wearing short sleeves and freezing her butt off! But we had so much fun. I hope the goosebumps were worth it… =)

I love that even though Ashley is not in focus in this shot, you can still see her big ‘joker smile’ as she looks at Nate. So sweet.

  • Jen & Rick - These pictures look so great – Ashley and Nate must love them..

  • Rachel - amazing pictures! 🙂 they were probably VERY pleased with they way these turned out!

  • Grace - These photos are just stunningly beautiful. Are you shooting with a lensbaby or tiltshift lens? I love the look you have in the 2nd photo!

Now that Christmas has passed and everyone has received their cards, I wanted to post the G family’s Christmas card. I absolutely love the way it turned out.

These cards are 5×7 press printed flat cards so they are thicker than standard photocards. Think, postcard. But prettier. They are printed on pearl paper, which has a metallic-like sheen. I tried to take a photo of the card to show what it looks like in real life, but I couldn’t capture how stunning they are so I’m sticking with this image.

Custom designed cards are not only for the holidays. They can also be ordered for birth announcements, birthday invitations, save-the-dates, or thank you cards. Contact me if you’d like more information!

Just a quick note to say that I hope that everyone had a very merry Christmas! I was blessed to get to spend the lovely day with my family and Santa was very good to me this year. I’m a lucky girl…

  • Christy - Merry Christmas!!!

  • Teresa Steinberger - Merry Christmas! I love all of your beautiful photos.

Monday again already? Christmas week already? Man, time flies. I swear that I’ll start posting photos of things other than my dogs sometime soon. But Monster Monday is obligatory. Here’s the Chloemonster herself, helping to celebrate my mother-in-law’s birthday. And do you see how close she is to the present? Notice the restraint?? I’m a proud momma…

And the oh-so-adorable face of Lucy… She’s so cute that I can barely stand it. Even though she desperately needs some grooming. I can sympathize with that wild hair…

One of the funniest things about Lucy is the way she runs. It’s more of a bunny hop than a run. And she picks up her front feet so hesitantly, like she expects them to weigh much more than they do. Kev calls it her Clydesdale walk…

But when she starts moving, she REALLY moves. What I would have given to have captured this shot in focus… Holy, Superdog!

  • Christy - Super Adorable! 🙂

  • sarah - love it! it’s so hilarious when they run…..ears and beard flapping in the wind…. 🙂

  • Rachel - love love love these pictures!! so cute!!

  • Li - aaah! i think it adds even more character when it’s out of focus – captures their personality!

  • Kelli - I literally had to double take this picture, Lucy looks identical to my baby kinsli. IDENTICAL! even down to the fur pattern the look In Lucys eyes and the way they run. Love schnauzers 🙂

It’s been a chilly weekend, full of sleet and snow and rain. Perfect for finally starting your Christmas shopping. Go me! And perfect for this type of activity… which is crazy grainy because it was shot at ISO 3200, but I wouldn’t change a thing about it…
