I saw this video on YouTube and had to share it… I know there are some fellow Boston lovers that stop by that will appreciate it. It cracks me up. Though I’m ashamed to admit that that dog would kick my behind on the treadmill. He’s got some stamina! I’d have to say that I relate much more to the bulldog in this clip. Try as I might, I just can’t get myself onto the treadmill…

Happy Friday and I hope you have a lovely first day of Spring!

  • sarah - ha! love it 🙂 towards the end, it’s totally like the o.k. go video with the band on the treadmills…..like the 2 bostons worked out a routine!

  • Emilee - This is great. lol I feel so bad for the poor bulldog trying to get up! This is hilarious!

  • Becky Serpe - Awwww- that poor bull dog – i feel so bad for him!! he gave it his all though 🙂

  • Christy - lol that’s too funny. That poor bulldog, he never gave up.

  • Grace - SO CUTE!

  • Wendy - When all else fails, try and eat the treadmill. That bulldog cracked me up!

  • Becky - Oh that poor bulldog, he wanted some exercise, too! My friends have a BT, and they tried out the treadmill workouts for him in the dead of the MN winter when it was too cold for long walks outside. He was getting stir crazy in the house, and they said he did really well, and it was a life saver for them!

  • julie - Great video! I was hoping the bulldog would eventually jump on.

Are you looking for a new addition to your family? Here are some pups that are patiently waiting to be adopted at the PSPCA. I got to meet these sweet pups last weekend… if any of these adorable faces look like they’d be a good fit for your family, please visit them at the PSPCA.

Here’s Princess…

Look at these eyes! Wow. This is Kia…

Sweet, snuggly Star…

Lucky… he’s a fun, playful boy…

This guy was SUCH a good model. He listened so well and hammed it up for the camera… Meet Tito…

Aspyn. She’s a beautiful dog and her expression in this photo just makes me smile…

And this is a lucky one that found a family before he even made it online…. Justice…

  • Emilee - I just love seeing your photos of the adoptables. They are great shots, and they’re full of personality! Who can resist these faces?!

  • leesia - aw, such sweet faces. the husky’s eyes are amazing!

  • Dana - such sweet faces – Lucky is my fave!

One of my favorite times of the year… When it starts to warm up and new growth breaks through the cold ground. I’m anxiously awaiting the day when I come home to new blooms. This is the beginning of our annual hyacinths…

  • Rachel - I love the angle! Nice shot.

  • Grace - Gorgeous shot. I am SO OBSESSED with gardening this year for the first time ever. I planted Yellow and Red Brandywine tomatoes, Thai Dragon & Serrano & Jalapeno peppers, Sungold Cherry Tomatoes, and Fairy Tale eggplants. Hope they all manage to stay alive 🙂

  • Sarah Lockard - that reminds me of a shoot I was going to propose to you….this is a very modern take on ‘garden’ photography from what I have seen, very cool, cutting edge.

    Im diggin it.

  • Andrew Lee - Awesome shot! That could be used for stock photography. I like it.

Yesterday my girl Queenie was featured in the Daily News as this week’s Adopt-a-Pet. She’s a star! It was the first image of mine to be printed so I stopped at the WaWa and snagged the last copy. Kev cut it out for me to keep.

As usual, Queenie looks adorable. I’m hoping that the exposure will find her a loving new home. Surely someone will not be able to resist that face! You can view the online version of the article by clicking HERE!

And here are the images of Queenie that I took at the shelter…

  • Rachel - This is so cool! I bet she will get adopted quick now that she was in the paper. Good work April!

  • Christy - How cool is that?! Cute pic. I hope she finds a good home. Hey, the newspaper didn’t credit you for your photo!

  • Allison - That is awesome! I will be taking photos for the Dallas SPCA, starting tomorrow morning… any suggestions? I can’t wait!!

  • Sarah Lockard - thats awesome great exposure she is so cute, congrats!

  • Bernadette - Congratulations April! These shots are fantastic, and you are making a real difference! Who could resist that little face!?

For this edition of Monster Monday, I decided to feature a relative and favorite playmate of Chloe and Lucy’s… My parent’s pug Angel. Angel is the most loveable dog… She’s a little overweight, but I think her roundness just adds to her huggability. And I may be kind of partial to smooshed-face dogs.

Chloe adoresher… they are nap time buddies, and when not napping they are sure to be engaging each other in a friendly game of bitey face. But Lucy is still a little hesitant around her. Angel runs at her like a tank, so it’s understandable that Lucy is frightened. She’s warming up though, as she becomes more accustomed to Angel’s massiveness. They became buds last weekend when they had a play date at the dog park and shared a mutual distaste for a certain aggressively playful Basset Hound. Here is Angel during her very first ever trip to the dog park…

  • Grace - This shot is SO FUN! I love how happy she looks.

  • leslie - I love this because you can see your reflection in her eyes!!!!!

  • Becky - As an owner of a 100 lb newfie, I had to laugh at the use of “massiveness” when describing a Pug. 🙂 She is a cutie!

  • April - haha. ok, maybe massiveness is relative. but still, a 35lb pug is pretty impressive, don’t you think? =) if only we could get my grandpop to stop feeding her icecream when he visits…
