Jack just turned one and we got to celebrate his first birthday with a photo session and cake smash. We did the outdoor photos on the Perkiomen Trail, which is one of my favorite locations, and the cake smash photos in my Collegeville studio. Ameerah was a little more alert and awake than her big brother was during his newborn session, so we were able to get some great shots of her with her eyes open. Maternity sessions with dogs are some of my favorite sessions to photograph! It’s such an exciting time to get to document as they await their first human baby and cherish the time where their pup is still the baby of the house.

The weather here in Pennsylvania has been most uncooperative for photo sessions recently with the endless rain and snow, but we were finally able to get Ally + Steve’s maternity session done when Ally was almost 39 weeks pregnant. And thank goodness because only two days later, their baby girl arrived!
