During this session, I got to play with Tristan. He’s a one year old English Cocker Spaniel, which I have never gotten to work with before. His puppy energy is contagious… it’s impossible to not want to run and play with him when you see that wiggly tail. And those ears!!! See for yourself…

If you’d like to view all the photos from Tristan’s session, click HERE!

Here are the ears in all their glory. Love this…

I have to believe that this is Tristan’s idea of heaven. No leash, an open field, and a stick…

During a brief pause…

And my favorite thing about Tristan… his smile! I swear, I’ve never seen a dog with such a pronounced smile before. It could brighten any day.

  • john...of johnwairephoto - what a cute dog. you really did a great job april. i would have been rolling around with this pup all day.

  • Jennie - How great!! I love those ears! And what an awesome field! Ugh it’s almost impossible to find any fields around here that aren’t right up against a busy street.

  • Emily Beaty - awhh how cute!! I love these!

  • Molly Uehling - wow…. wow… WOW! We completely love these! Um, that first one is sooo our boy! Also, you can’t laugh when they see the picture of him totally smiling with the tongue out? That was the best day ever for him. Also, Tim is IN LOVE with the picture of him running with the stick, because as you said, that’s what makes him happy. For such girlie ears, he really is a DOG’s DOG… haha. You don’t cease to amaze us April. These pictures really reminded me of what a fun day that was, and what a cool fun photographer you were. Remember when you were like “Do you think he’ll look down at us if I get down there?” … into a flooded stairwell! Such a great picture of the ears! Can’t wait to see them all!

  • Diane Theodore - April, what wonderful pictures! You really captured Tristan in all his glory. I love the panoramic of him, running with the stick. He is so enjoying his moment. We could all learn some thing from this photo. My personal favorite is the first shot of Tristan. He truly looks aristocratic. His face is telling us that he came from a line of kings. Pat yourself on the back, you do great work!!!

  • Wendy - That is a great smile!

  • Katie - You did a wonderful job photographing Tristan! He really is such an amazing looking dog. As Adam said, best looking dog I’ve ever seen. I really like the black and white

  • Emily~ DreamEyce - Oh man! Engies are one of the CUTEST breeds, and this boy shows it. Great shots!

  • Shellie - April, your photography is magical! If you happen to be in Florida again, please contact me.
I would love to enter your contest. Isabella loves the beach, so my little Florida dog would be adorable in the ‘Summertime’; plus, the blue matches her pretty blue eye, but the collar is still girly.

Back to reality. We had a lovely week in Pensacola. For me, there’s nothing more relaxing than the sun, sand, and breathing in the salty air. I almost feel bad for saying this, as Pennsylvania has been suffering through constant rain, but we had gorgeous weather. Warm and sunny. One day of rain that was filled with reading, relaxing, and Wii gaming. Some of us even persevered through Wii-related injuries. And I’m proud to say that my little sister is a college graduate. I saw it for myself. Congrats Christine!

Here’s a glimpse at our strip of paradise…

  • Rachel - One of my best friends is getting married in Pensacola this summer. It looks so beautiful there!

  • Dana - I am having total beach envy here. Looks so pretty.

This Saturday, May 9, will be the Adopt a Boxer Rescue Flea Market held at Rose Tree Park in Media. It will be between 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. This is a free event so come out for food, pet vendors, dog activities, great raffles, and the chance to help out some homeless pups. Though the event is hosted by Adopt a Boxer Rescue, several other rescues will also be participating. All breeds are welcome! If you make it out, please stop by my table to say hi!

Happy Monday! Yes, I am still on vacation. But we are stuck inside due to the rainy weather that I know is also hitting back home. So I decided to share a sunny photo to brighten up an otherwise blah Monday…

I miss my girls…

Just a quick note to let you know that I will be on vacation from April 30 through May 6. I am in Florida to see my little sister graduate college and spend some quality beach time with the fam. Internet time is limited so please forgive the slow e-mail response time and lack of blog posts. I will have a lot of fun images to update when I return. And stay tuned for an AWESOME blog give-away. All of you pet lovers will not want to miss it!!
