Last week the weather finally permitted me to have a session with Dash, an adorable little Yorkie owned by Rebecca from The Philly Dog. The Philly Dog is an awesome resource for all things canine in the Philadelphia area. Definitely check it out and stop back often as she is always adding great new information.

Dash was wonderfully cooperative and irresistibly cute… which makes for a pretty easy session for me. It doesn’t hurt when you’re working with a face like this…

Towards the end of the session, Dash decided to change into his festive fall sweater and model by a pumpkin that was larger than him. He has a keen fashion sense, that little Yorkie…

There is nothing in this world that Dash loves more than playing ball. It brings out his crazy eyes…

  • Lesley - what a cutie!

  • Rebecca - I love them! I have a feeling I’m going to be buying a LOT of pictures….

Our Halloween morning was spent at the 3rd Annual Philly PAWS Mutt Strut at FDR Park. And as it seems like it does daily, it rained. Luckily, that didn’t keep people or pets away… there was a fantastic turnout and I had a great time photographing all the costumed pups. There were tons of great costumes, I spent the morning squealing and smiling big. I absolutely love photographing dogs… but it doesn’t get much better than a banana dog…

  • Christy - That’s pretty darn cute!

  • Lauren - I was there with my Rottweiler Bosco and I think you took a pic of him! I would love to see more photos from that day, but this one is great!

A spooky kind of ring shot for this Halloween Eve…

This Saturday, October 31, will be the 3rd Annual PAWS Mutt Strut at FDR Park in Philadelphia. It’s a fantastic event that will raise funds to help save Philadelphia’s homeless, abandoned, and unwanted animals. Click HERE for more information and to register. I’ll be photographing the event, so bring your pup and make sure they’re camera-ready! 🙂 And please stop by my table for a chance to win a free photo session!! Hope to see you there!

Though it feels like much longer, my first contact with Kara was only seven months ago. I reached out to her rescue, HeavenSent Bulldog Rescue, to take in a bulldog that was at the shelter. I was immediately impacted by her passion for the breed and her dedication to the dogs and people involved in the rescue. The amount of work that she does to find new homes for the bulldogs in need is remarkable. And I was ecstatic when she asked me to photograph her own family of bulldogs. You can see a few of their cute mugs below, or click here to view the slideshow!
