faq: Unleashed? Not always…

As a pet photographer, one of the questions that I hear most often is, “My dog is a little wild and crazy, and cannot be trusted off leash. How will we get any good photos?” Believe me, I understand. I have two little monsters that are completely untrustworthy when it comes to running free. All it would take is one squirrel to cross their path and they’d be G.O.N.E. In all outdoor photos of them, they are leashed. Not to worry, yours can be too. And with a little Photoshop magic, no one will ever know.

First up is Mildred… the adorable pup that I photographed for the Citizens for a No-Kill Philadelphia’s pet project. That leash does nothing to flatter her beautiful face… so it had to go! Good news: Mildred has since found herself a home!! Yay! And I’ll get to photograph her with her new family soon…

Ziggy Stardust… the leash, and the yellow sign between his legs, both got erased

Derby dog…

Phillie. Yep, I love pugs…

PSPCA Tailgate Party… tomorrow!

Are you ready for some football? Training Camp is just around the corner and the PSPCA adoptable animals can’t wait! Join Jon Runyan, Barrett Brooks and other NFL players for a Tailgate Party at the PSPCA’s Philadelphia Adoption Center on Saturday, June 6 from 1-5 p.m.

Enjoy food and fun, face painting, moon bounce, football toss, autographs, adorable pets and more! All proceeds will fund the construction of the PSPCA’s Dog Park to help exercise and rehabilitate abused and neglected animals.

I’ll be there, camera in hand, to capture all the fun (and try to sneak into the moon bounce!). Come out for a good time to support a wonderful cause.

Adopt Me!

Here are more pups at the PSPCA that really need a home! If you know anyone looking for a new furry family member, please pass this on to them.

We will start with an awesome dog who is somewhat of a local celebrity… Meringue…

Meringue was featured on Good Day Philadelphia with Jen Utley, wife of Chase Utley. Check on Meringue’s television debut…

AND she was included in Bounce’s 15 Most Loveable Pets contest, which you can view by clicking HERE! Another available pup, Baby, is also Loveable contestant. Here is Baby if you missed her in the past post…

A very cute fluffball named Dany…

A beautiful, energetic guy named Marshmallow…

The sweetest, mellow older man… Otis Redding…

And this girl, who stole my heart. Her name is Sparkles. She is a Mastiff that is around 10yrs old. She came from a neglect situation which is heartbreaking. But even though she was treated poorly, she is so loving and calm. As I walked the aisle she stood up to the gate and rested her head on top, glancing in my direction with those sweet brown eyes. I approached her and petted her head. Her eyes slowly closed as she enjoyed the attention and love for a few minutes. How I hope that someone gives her the loving home that she deserves…
