Today was Lucy’s least favorite day. Grooming day. Add to that the fact that she hates the car, and it’s a double whammy. But the haircut was definitely much needed, so I decided to do a little before / after photoshoot. Lucy was less than cooperative. I have to admit, my own dogs are the hardest to photograph. With a little bit of bribery, I was able to grab a few shots to share her drastic {and simply adorable} change.

Today I was very lucky to spend Easter morning at the Philadelphia Zoo, for a shoot for an upcoming article at AroundMainLine.com. It was fantastic… the weather was beautiful, we got a tour of some of the zoo highlights, and they had an egg hunt set up for the kids that we happened by right before it started. Fun! Check out all the brightly colored Easter eggs scattered across the lawn…

That’s what her eyes are saying. Lucy doesn’t respond well to over-friendly dogs at the dog park. Unlike her sister, she chooses flight over fight every time. It’s funny how different their personalities are…
The Chloemonster is healing nicely from her knee surgery. There haven’t been many photo opps recently, since she is mostly relaxing. At least she’s supposed to be mostly relaxing. Sometimes she needs to be reminded of this. I took a quick photo of her last night looking irresistibly adorable… classic head tilt and her poor bum leg…
And guess who just got a hair cut??? Kev took her during the day to surprise me and I had no idea. When I got home she was in her crate… I opened the door to let her out and as usual, she lept into my arms. I squeeled. Really. I was that excited. I swear, it doesn’t get much cuter than this. The groomer may think otherwise… as I hear that she SCREAMED the entire time. And yes, she has already dirtied up her beard. I love my messy girl…
